The shop that took seven years to become a brand.

Souprema is not a startup. The kitchen has been running since 2019. The neighborhood knows us. What changed in 2026 is the brand around it.

We opened on 7th Avenue in Park Slope under a different name. The Soup Bowl of Park Slope. It was a working title, honestly. A signal to the neighborhood that yes, there is now a place to get a real bowl of soup. People showed up. We have served them every day for seven years.

Over those years a few things became obvious. The first is that nobody in this category is taking themselves seriously. Soup is treated as a side or a starter, an afterthought in lunch culture. We knew that was wrong. We have customers who order our bisque three times a week and walk a mile for it.

The second is that the operational model needed to change. Counter service. Made-to-order finish. Sauce-based instead of broth-thin. Takeout-first instead of dine-in retrofitted for takeout. The way we built the new shop is the way the new locations will be built.

The third is that this works in more than one neighborhood. We have done seven years of operating in one of the most demanding food zip codes in the country. The model carries. The brand needs a new name to do it.

That name is Souprema.

Every base simmers for hours. Every order goes out in under four minutes. The patience is in the kitchen, not the line.

Sauce-Based. Not Broth-Thin.

Our bowls have body. The kind of soup that you can eat with bread instead of after it. The kind that finishes a meal instead of opening one.

Takeout First.

The bowl, the lid, the bag, the spoon. Everything is designed so that the soup you eat 15 minutes after you leave us is the same soup you would eat at the counter.
